While every other grocery brand was launching delivery, Walmart was launching their online grocery pickup service. To compete, they needed to do something huge.
We created the most epic crossover of famous cars ever put on screen during the most epic commercial break of the year — the Super Bowl. We showed America: if Walmart Grocery Pickup is good enough for Batman, Bumblebee and KITT, it's good enough for you.
The film went viral at launch, with over 20 million views in 24 hours and 700 million impressions in a week. Walmart's e-commerce sales rose 43%, with over one million app downloads in January alone. It was one of the most talked-about spots of the night, driving discussion online about all the different cars people spotted (or thought they spotted).
